Historian and art critic, curator, currently lecturer on Contemporary Art History at the Accademia di Belle Arti “Mario Sironi” in Sassari.
From 2007 to 2010 Sonia Borsato managed Sa Domo, a space for contemporary art of Villanova Monteloene where Salvatore Ligios took over the direction of Su Palatu – cultural space for photography. Since 2007, she has collaborated with Soter publishers to manage photographic catalogues. Since 2008, with Salvatore Ligios, she has curated Menotrentuno, an international festival of photography professionals strictly under 31 years of age, which takes place in Sardinia every two years. In 2010 and 2014 she was among the organizers and the jury of the Surrau Photo Win, a photographic award that started with the synergy between Su Palatu and another important local business, Vigne Surrau in Arzachena, with the goal of presenting a panorama of contemporary culture, supporting original and quality projects, promoting art-house photos. Her quest moves from body to landscape as specular themes, maintaining a constant interest in photography that is open to cross over into other forms of expression.
